Among other things, milestone 3 means proof of producibility and test of several meters at Teknologisk Institut.

The results are great – and combined with the even lower current consumption achieved lately, we are on track to the smartest water meter in the world.

Smart meters – clever people  … and fast too!

Both are students from Aarhus School of Engineering, and they are joining our SCRUM meter team for the next 5 months

Kristian Skovmark Petersen is studying electronic engineering. He will be working on hardware, test and embedded software.

Pol Martinez Caldwell is studying mechanical engineering. He will be focusing on ultrasonic transducers and meter construction.

For this reason we have an aggressive IP strategy, so that unfair competition towards our customers can be addressed and dealt with. By building a strong position in case of any attempts of infringement or copying of our technology, we make sure our customers are in the best possible legal position in the market.

We have so far filed 10 inventions in 6 priority documents, from which we have already been granted one patent, and we have no plans of stopping the pipeline of inventions and patents.

In addition to patents we seek protection in several other ways. Our company, products and slogan are protected by trademark registrations, and the latest IP-filing in our portfolio is of yet another type:

A European Design with 6 different water meter designs, which are all based on our special mechanical solution have been registered at The Trade Marks And Designs Registration Office Of The European Market.

The board has now accepted, that all conditions for milestone 2 have been fulfilled. This means that we have reached our very ambitious design targets on the water meter for technical parameters such as zero flow error, absolute time accuracy and current consumption.

Not only does the new principles work – we have world class performance.

Jesper Tjørnager Jakobsen, Katrine Rydeen Hansen, and Anders Haugbølle Thomsen have passed the selective application process preceeding the elite course Applied Business Development, and are now investigating the company in depth.

The project is running for 4 months in the autumn of 2011, and will result in a business plan targeted for the second round of external financing in Miitors.

This framework is ideal for our company, and we apply the principles in all aspects of development: mechanics, electronics, software and even this homepage .

In May Thorbjørn Borup was certified as a Scrum Master (CSM) by the Scrum Alliance, and recently Jens Drachmann was certified as a Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), so now Miitors has a solid foundation in Scrum.

Due to the nature of Scrum (and our company), this is not the end of course. We will continuously develop and adjust our processes and organization as we grow – as a company and as individuals .
